Visual Learning through the use of Multi-Media with an Emphasis on Video Based Instruction

Description of Session:

Students are exposed to more digital data and video than ever before! This session will focus on integrating video and other multi-media forms to enhance the learning experience. Special attention will be given to Safari Montage, a video storehouse that provides customized playlists along with ready to use lesson and unit plans. A lesson on the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia and Egypt will serve as a model to the power of visual learning. Also tools associated with digital media and YouTube will be shared at the end of the session.
